Complacency and impossibility are words that do not exist in the dictionary of MIMS Charitable Trust. Charity is but a means to an end, a window to help society become self sufficient. The Trust has many strategies and ideas to contribute to noble causes through the bountiful offerings of kind hearted philanthropists like you. A free drug bank is in the offing. The Trust proposes to provide medicines free of cost or subsidized medicines to the extremely poor that need continuous and prolonged medication.“Death with dignity” is a humanitarian effort undertaken by the Trust. It is an endeavour to give terminally ill patients palliative care to manage symptoms, discomfort and pain from their impending death. The Trust also hopes to give the poor and needy, the right to die peacefully, in as much comfort as possible. The Trust desires to start a Community Dialysis Centre in Badagara, as many patients from this area and beyond have to travel long distances to come to Calicut for dialysis, this will help them save money and time as well. Cancer awareness and free screening camp for women in Calicut city is on the anvil, many lives could be saved with early detection and treatment.
